Shannon
grew up in the Bay Area where she started dancing at the age of
3 and acting at the age of 9. She continued studying and performing
through college and began teaching, choreographing and directing
at the age of 18.
After
graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Physical Education
with an emphasis in dance, Shannon opened her own dance studio in
Oakland. She was on the Board of Directors and Resident Choreographer
with Piedmont Light Opera Theatre for nine years as well as choreographer
for other area community theatres. Shannon spent most of her summers
in Stockbridge, MA, where she taught dance and theatre and was the
Assistant Director of a summer Performing Arts Center for girls
ages 9 to 17.
Shannon
went on to develop C.A.S.T. (Chico Area Student Theatre) with Chico
City Light Opera at the Eaton Road Opera House in 1991 and directed
the program through 1996, and then Students On the Stage (S.O.S.)
which performed at Theatre On the Ridge in Paradise from 1997 through
2005.
She
has directed or choreographed, staged, costumed, and adapted more
than 50 plays or musicals, and has trained more than 400 children
in theatre or dance during the past 15 years. |

Jeff

Jeff
has been teaching piano and voice, as well as music directing and
accompanying for more than 10 years. In that time he has become
a staple of the Chico arts community through his work at Chico City
Light Opera, Theatre on the Ridge, and various other community venues.
At
Chico State, Jeff has recently musically directed the productions
of 42 nd Street, HMS Pinafore, Once Upon A Mattress, and Quilters,
to name a few. He also serves as musical director for CSU, Chico's
Musical Theatre Tour Troupe.
Jeff
has been choral director at Mercy High School in Red Bluff, and
assistant choral director at Chico Senior High School and Corning
Union High School. He is the music director at Our Divine Savior
Catholic Church and is involved in numerous programs, benefits,
and concerts in the North State. |
